The concept of existential crisis, or the feeling of losing one’s sense of self in today’s society full of norms and rules that dictate a prescribed way of living, leads to being trapped in a state of mind that reflects on the existence of one’s self or even life itself, questioning the purpose or meaning of its eventual end.
“Pale light / endless fog” is thus an experimental work that conveys visuals through images, sound, and a simulated world that mirrors the existence of self within the context of existential crisis, which occurs in individuals under the modern society in various forms confusion, indecision, or the cycle of thoughts that seem impossible to resolve. It relies on the personal experiences of each viewer, granting them the freedom to communicate or interpret the work in diverse ways.
